Yep, I get jabs every autumn - got my 3rd COVID booster last week along with flu and pneumonia. I will no longer do substitute teaching in schools because I'd get respiratory illnesses (that often became acute bronchitis) every year in those germ factories. No need to add COVID to the brew. I'm dismayed that so many people STILL don't use good hygiene in public - sneezing or coughing into the arm, for instance, as if the pandemic had no lessons to teach us.

I'd go a little farther than you've gone about how too many people behave in public. It isn't just a matter of how many still don't practice good hygiene in public. It's that many seem to have decided to regress, being worse about that than they were before the pandemic. It's weird. I can understand not wanting to set foot in schools or any place where there are a lot of people close together.

Based on what we see in our little border market town, V thought we're the only ones still wearing face masks. Then she went to our dentist in Worcester and saw a couple of people wearing FFP2 masks (like N95). She remarked that one of them wasn't even old. Admittedly, when we do see someone else wearing a face mask, it's often someone elderly. Gee, I wonder what oldsters might know?
