A friend found a spectacular photo of the aurora taken in Texas last night. Where we are, it wasn't as vivid and exciting as 10 May--but we only stayed out until about 21:00. Some of my wife's family got a better view than we did, at different times & places. By the time night fell in the USA, the solar storm's effects had more time to build up to a crescendo. I hope the clouds parted enough to let you see it. Apparently it was quite a show over there.
Addendum: If you are able to go out and look north in a dark area, the aurora is indeed putting on a show tonight.
Patchy clouds here but will be worth a look.
